Have your say – take the South JAC survey!

12 May

The South JAC (Junior County Championship) programme is now largely behind us, and it in many ways has been very hard to administer at all levels this season.

Much of that has to do with the tight programme the Centralised Calendar gives us and possibly the way we run it.

Our underlying programme however is much admired by all the other regions in the Country and I think we all believe ourselves it is probably the “blue ribbon” event on the South Competition Calendar, in that it is set aside from School and Club events and for many players is their most treasured honour and playing experience of their junior playing careers.

To help the South Junior Committee programme next season’s JAC competition we have a set up a survey which can be completed by any person involved with the South JAC programme. This includes players, parents, umpires, counties, coaches, clubs and schools.

We would like to get in as much feedback as possible to get a wide spectrum of opinions. Each County has County Reps on the Committee and we will all try to steer the competition along with the majority views, if at all practical.

The survey is set up so that we can define down to County level if any Counties want to evaluate their specific comments as well as global trends.

The Survey can be found at http://southhockey.org.uk/index.php/juniors/south-jac/jac-survey-2014.

We are setting a “closing date” of 31 May so that we have time to analyse the data and make changes where possible in time for the 2015 JAC season.
